Nokia 6750 Mural approved by the FCC

FCC web site unveils an unannounced Nokia phone for AT&T called Nokia 6750 “Mural”.The new Nokia 6750 Mural features a clamshell form factor and is reported to come with support for 850/1900 UMTS bands. The stylish clamshell brings a quite flashy bodywork with music-dedicated keys on the front. Other specifications of the new handset comprise a 2-megapixel photo snapper, which is also reported to come with flash

The clamshell has a dynamic outer display similar to the 7510 and 7205 Intrigue, external media player controls, micxroSDHC expansion slot, quadband GSM/EDGE and dual-band HSDPA, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, 2.0 megapixel camera and support for AT&T services with a dedicated Cellular Video key and support for Mail, IM, XM, Music, Video Share and mobiTV. Samsung Preston and Star Touch Screens

Samsung decided that two of their latest touchscreen phones, S5600 and S5230, to give them new “trade names”, as Samsung Preston and Star. The Preston and Star, both are almost similar except that the Preston boasts a faster HSDPA connectivity for data. Also, both use Samsung’s TouchWiz GUI: the S5230 has a 3-inch WQVGA display, while the S5600 has a 2.8-inch QVGA panel. They are now available for purchase in Asia, Europe, and some other world markets.

The Samsung S5230 Star is a non-3G cell phone that comes equipped with a 3.0-inch WQVGA touchscreen display and a 3 megapixel camera. It measures only 11.9mm thick and features Samsung’s widget based TouchWiz user interface.

The Samsung Preston (S5600) comes in a slim and compact design, featuring support for full Internet browsing, 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity and accelerometer. It also includes a 2.8-inch QVGA full-touch screen and the TouchWiz UI, as well as a 3.2-megapixel camera, music recognition using Shazam’s “Find Music” service and an 80MB internal memory coupled with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 8GB of additional storage space. Though not released yet. It seems that the Samsung Star has registered great demand already, as more than 2 Million units are reported to have been pre-ordered until now.

SonyEricsson CS8 v CS5 Release Date

T-Mobile USA will soon launch two Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot m obile phones, namely the CS8 and the CS5. As the names might suggest, the devices are pretty similar. As for the model CS5 Cyber-shot, it seems, it is a modification of camera Sony Ericsson C903 Cyber-shot. We know that the device is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, GPS-receiver, QVGA-display and TV output.

As for the Sony Ericsson CS8, it should come with an 8.1-megapixel photo snapper, quad-band GSM/EDGE and UMTS/ HSDPA (1700/2100) 3G connectivity, Bluetooth Stereo, FM Radio, email and instant messaging capabilities, as well as GPS and Wi-Fi capabilities.The release of Sony Ericsson CS8 Cyber-shot is scheduled for June 24; sales model CS5 Cyber-shot would begin on 8 July this year. Nokia N97 release date

I've been watching this one closely. From the moment Nokia announced the Nokia N97 I've been eager to get my hands on one. The spec got me salivating. Check this out:

32GB onboard memory, that's amazing, even twice the size of the largest iPhone available. Apparently it will also be capable of accepting a 32GB MicroSD card too. Though initially only 16GB cards will be available.

One small gripe I have, is that Nokia have opted to use a resistive screen rather than a capacitive screen. For such a high end phone, it seems a silly decision, as it's sure to seem sluggish when compared with the iPhone.

It appears the N97 isn't going to hit our shores though until June. Carphonewarehouse and other sources are giving the date of June 23rd as the expected release date, but who know's what could happen between now and then?

I'm really keen to learn from anybody who's got a pre-production Nokia N97.

LG presents its all new KS20 Windows Mobile smart phone

LG’s site is now showing a phone which goes by the model KS20, this is a Windows Mobile Professional device with a QVGA screen, HSDPA, 2 Mega Pixel camera, WiFi b and g, push email and runs the Windows Mobile 6 OS, no mention of 6.1 which seems strange for a new device. Dimensions are 99.8mm x 58mm x 12.8mm weighing in at 92.5g. A few pictures after the break.

Samsung M8800 Bresson touchscreen phone with 8 megapixel camera

It is rumored that Samsung intends to market mobile phone with another 8-megapixel camera than the INNOV8 Samsung i850, which seems to be called Samsung M8800 Bresson.

The Samsung M8800 Bresson, in addition to the impressive resolution of the camera, which will flash and autofocus, which also seems to come with a 3.2-inch touchscreen, GPS and 3G HSDPA for, in addition to multimedia applications and better integration of Office.

With this mobile betting is Samsung's clear by the high-resolution cameras integrated into mobile phones and the rise of touch screens in the new high-end models.

But the most interesting part of this rumor, and as such, it should be remembered that the characteristics of the model may vary, is that it seems that the official presentation will be the next day on September 25, and although we still do not know what will be its price, we can guess that will be somewhat expensive.

Vertu to release its " Signature S " next month

Filthy rich folks who have nothing else to spend their money on will be happy to know that the Vertu Signature S has just passed the FCC and will be available starting next month. This new addition to the uber-expensive collection of Vertu features quadband EDGE, dual-band HSDPA (850 and 2100MHz) and WiFi which is a first for the company that is more acclaimed for the extravagant and luxurious design of its mobile phones rather than the features it incorporates in them. It also comes with an OLED display which, at that price, should be standard now across all new models of Vertu phones.

Of course, if your bank account can’t support a Vertu purchase, then you’ll just have satisfy yourself with pictures and images available on their website. Source...

LG Viewty 8MP phone gets official announcement

LG have announced the new LG-KC910, an update to the successful LG Viewty that features an 8 megapixel camera. It's not the first 8 megapixel camera to be announced, but the new LG comes with some stunning specs that in many ways blows the competition out of the water.

As you can see, the LG-KC910 (or LG Viewty II, as somepeople are calling it) is a touchscreen candybar phone featuring a user interface not dissimilar to that of the latest smartphones. Having a big analogue clock in the middle of a touchscreen seems de rigeur, these days, and the LG-KC910 is no different. Keeping up with the Samsungs, you could say!
More impressive, though, is the list of features. Just check this lot out:

The LG-KC910 is, quite clearly, LG's new flagship handset, and looks set to take on the Samsung Omnia and Nokia N96 head to head. Whether it'll succeed or not will be dependent largely on how well these features are implemented, as LG are renowned for making phones with a superb feature-set, but with a poor user interface, making the features almost impossible to use.
We'll only know once we get our grubby hands on one, but fortunately we won't have to wait too long - the LG-KC910 Viewty II release date is set for October 2008, so just over a month until we find out. Source...

Sony Ericsson officially unveiled G705

Sony Ericsson fans have reason to rejoice this morning as the handset manufacturer has finally made its anticipated G705 official. Sure, we’ve seen and read plenty already but now we’ve got the official specs and equally as important, a time line. Here’s where it gets a little tricky; those of you who have been waiting for this sexy little slider are going to have to keep waiting. It looks like the G705 isn’t scheduled to become available here in the US until sometime in Q1 2009, though it will be released in Q4 2008 elsewhere. Some more bad news for US SE fans is that while Sony Ericsson has announced that it will issue a UMA-enabled G705u version of this handset (SE’s first UMA phone), it will be an Orange exclusive. Ok, ok. Enough bad news - now for the good stuff:

We just got a heads up from one of our trusty sources, and they’ve come through with full PRADA II specs for us! In case you don’t remember, the new PRADA II handset will feature a slide-out QWERTY keyboard as pictured above. Here’s a rundown on the specs we got:

LG K910 the next version of LG Viewty

This one caught the lot of mobile enthusiasts, including us here at Unwired View, by surprise. Though we first reported about the possibility of LG rolling out a certain “K910″ with an 8MP camera a few months back, we never really thought LG would push through.

Well, apparently, they did. And now LG has just officially announced the LG K910, which is to be the LG Viewty’s 8 megapixel successor. But aside from its gargantuan-megapixel camera module, what else does the K910 really have to offer?
The 8 megapixel camera on the LG K910 won’t go to waste with its built-in Xenon flash, Schneider-Kreuznach optics, Face Tracking, Smile Shot and blink detection technology. That’s already a lot of features right there, but there’s still much we haven’t discussed yet.

It can play DivX and Xvid movies out of the box on its 3-inch WQVGA full touchscreen LCD, as well as deliver incredible sound with the help of Dolby Mobile.

Finally, with the LG KC910, users should be able to enjoy up to 7.2Mbps downloads with HSDPA connectivity, and easily find their way to wherever they’re going with its A-GPS enabled navigation feature.

HTC S740 Smartphone Hands-on pics

newmobile.com has got the chance to try out the new HTC S740, a slim version of Touch Diamond with a QWERTY sliding keyboard. Different from what we saw in the press photos, the numeric keypad, shortcut keys design will not kept your thumbprint, although the phone LCD and back cover will still love your thumbprint on it. Samsung SGH-i688 Olympic Phone

In commemoration of the Olympics, Samsung has rolled out the SGH-i688 that is powered by Windows Mobile 6.0 and supports China's domestic 3G standard, TD-SCDMA (time-division synchronous code-division multiple access). What makes this handset so special is the ability to connect to a "Wireless Olympic Works" (WOW) network that boasts real-time schedules, results, weather information, email, and instant messaging to Olympic officials. Hardware specifications are pretty much kept hush-hush, although we do know this comes with a 2.8" touch screen display and a Chinese version of Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional. Samsung SGH-U700 Goes Pink for Chinese Valentine Day

After the launch of U700 in February last year recently Samsung launched U708 pink version in Taiwan on the occasion of Chinese Valentine day last week.

Moreover, the prices have been slashed to half! U708 will cost you 6,990 yuan when compared to last year’s price of 15,800 yuan. The juicy features like 3.2 MP camera, 3.5G network etc. have been maintained with this version.

Surprisingly, Samsung didn’t care to launch this world wide even though females love pink colored phones.

Cheaper Samsung S7330 Soul pops-up

Samsung is adding another handset to it’s newly created GT series line-up - Samsung S7330, and it looks like it will be another Soul.

Just like LG did with their Shines and Chocolates, Samsung has lately been churning out various Soul versions for mass market, and selling tons of them. We already have Samsung G400 Soulf clamshell, Samsung U800 Soulb candybar, and, of course, the Pink Samsung Soul U900.

Now it’s time for a cheaper, a little less soaped-up mass market handset, and that’s what Samsung Soul S7330 appears to be:

Samsung GT-S7330 has added the mechanical control buttons, reduced it’s HSDPA data rates to 3.6 Mbs (from 7.2 Mbps), and opted for a lower resolution - 3.2 mpx - camera. It also kept the looks and all the other features of the original Soul.

Samsung U800 Soulb in Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Samsung introduces the U800 Soulb candy-bar few months ago. Now, the U800 is in Pink fighting breast cancer. For each Pink U800 sold, Samsung is donating GBP 10 to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer foundation.
Like the original U800, the Pink version supports the 3G/HSDPA/quad-band GSM network. It has a 2-inch LCD display, a 3 Megapixel camera, 1GB of internal memory and Bluetooth. Source...

LG KF390 announced exclusively with Telstra for $559

The shiny, sliding LG KF390 has just been announced by Telstra as the newest additon to their Blue Tick range of Next G™ handsets. Having been awarded the Blue Tick title, Telstra is basically recommending the LG KF390 as a phone that’s great for handheld use in rural and regional coverage areas.
The LG KF390 supports super fast 7.2 Mbps HSDPA networks, and can also receive a signal boost by connecting to an external antenna, either in the form of a patch lead or a directly-coupled car kit. Other than that it’s a run-of-the-mill phone by today’s standards, which means it’s not such a slouch in multimedia either. The LG KF390 features with a 2 megapixel main camera, large tactile keys, built-in speakerphone and Bluetooth connectivity. It’s going to be a fast phone when it comes to data, but with the current price plans, it looks like it’ll burn your wallet just as fast.

It will be sold with a suggested retail price of $559 starting August 4th in selected Telstra shops and dealers, while it will also be available under a $30 plan over 24-months from August 18th.
