Verizon released its all new Blitz QWERTY smart phone

Verizon has just introduced the Blitz, a phone made primarily for messaging. Manufactured by UTStarcom, the Blitz has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a dedicated MyMessaging key that will lead you directly to the messaging menu. The Blitz is, in essence, an UTStarcom handset, although it has been provided with the marketing muscle of Verizon Wireless. The Blitz features a 2.2″ display, set in landscape orientation, with 220×176 pixel resolution.

The rest of the features that Verizon’s Blitz comes with include a 2.2 inch TFT display with 262K colors and 220 x 176 pixels, dual-band CDMA connectivity (800 / 1900 MHz), VZ Navigator with turn by turn directions, stereo Bluetooth, Music player, Playlist creator and manager, V CAST Music with Rhapsody, a 2.5mm audio jack, speakerphone (with a dedicated key) Mobile Web 2.0, email and Instant Messaging, Chaperone Child, SMS and MMS capabilities, Voice Mail, Hearing Aid compatibility, alarm clock, world clock, stopwatch, calendar, calculator, notepad and expandable memory (up to 4GB). There is also a 1.3 Megapixel camera with self-timer but no flash nor auto focus.The Blitz is currently available for $69.99 after a $50 discount and a two-year service agreement. Source...
