Sony Ericsson C902

The Sony Ericsson C902 is the first cell phone in the C Series of Sony Ericsson meaning Cyber Shot. Before all the cyber shot devices were part of the K series but the new C902 is the replacement for their K850i. As the cyber shop phones have been extremely popular over the past few years most of the people however feel that Sony Ericsson has been imperfect with their recent models as a few include unreliable firmware and dodgy keypads. However the new Sony Ericsson C902 is the flagship cyber shop model and therefore there are pretty high expectations.

Design

The Sony Ericsson C902 physically seems to be like the old Sony Ericsson phone style but very much developed. It is a classic style mobile and is ultra-slim nearly 10.5mm. The keypad is also very comfortable being the old fashioned one which has appropriate square keys enabling fast texting. Interestingly, you will also find an excellent five way navigation pad which works just fine. The handset also feels of very high quality with a great combination of plastic and metal offering an elegant finish. The phone is available in choice of red or black or both colours.

The screen of C902 is a bit smaller than the K850i which is due to the touch sensitive shortcuts at both sides of the screen. However the screen is very much sharp and bright which works perfectly in most light conditions. The camera is actually hidden under a mini sliding cover and when you open the slide the phone would switch to a camera mode. Being a five megapixel camera it is even better with the autofocus function, flash and stabilizer. The quality of camera is much like the Sony Ericsson K850i. There is also the BestPic feature that lets you take nine pictures in a second.

Entertainment

As the Sony Ericsson C902 is a cyber shop phone is also offers you excellent music features. The in built media player is fully features that even supports album art. The MegaBass feature of Sony ensures that you receive rich sounds from the small speakers. You can even personalize the phone as you download MP3 ringtones through PlayNow feature. The TrackID feature would let you identify the song from a few seconds of recording. There is also an FM radio with RDS included among the music features. Sony lets you use an optional Bluetooth stereo headset or just plug in a stereo headphone in the C902. The most impressive feature of C902 is that it offers you an in built memory of nearly 160MB which is much more than the K850i. Additionally it also supports Memory Stick Micro card of nearly 4GB which makes up enough space to store data.

The connectivity is also great as it supports USB and Bluetooth. The C902 being a 3G phone with support for HSDPA enables fast download speed. The battery life of the cell phone is standard but being an ultra-slim phone it tends to run short of battery life like similarly to other ultra-slim phones. Source...
