American Idol: David Hernandez was a stripper pictures

It took a few weeks, but the Verizon Wireless sponsored American Idol finally has its very first sex scandal!

Vote for the worst.com, those bastards who kept Sanjaya in the race about two months longer than I could take last season, have found a new a new object of their affection, David Hernandez, who actually is a pretty decent singer.

But that is of course pretty beside the point to this post.

The AP is reporting that for three years Hernandez was a stripper at Dick's Cabaret in Glendale, Arizona. Former boss Gordy Bryan explained that David was fully nude and gave lap dances to a mostly male clientele.

Personally I think all Idol contestants should have to strip before trying to compete on the show. Check out Simon's comment about how comfortable Hernandez looks on stage in light of his former profession:

Anyway, while no David Hernandez stripping pictures have technically surfaced yet, Vote For the Worst did find these pictures of David Hernandez mostly naked, taken in, I think, a gay bar called Burn, where he was a bartender.
