Late last month, Samsung revealed a duo of previously unannounced phones in Ukraine, including the SGH-F490. We've got some new official information and images, and we're impressed. Featuring a 3.2" touchscreen, the F490 can be used in both landscape and normal viewing modes, much like the iPhone. Don't be so hasty as writing this device off as just another iPhone competitor.
Along with the cool display and interface, the F490 features a 5 MP camera (sweet!), 130 MB of built-in storage, and a microSD card slot. It can even record QVGA resolution videos at 15 frames per second. Samsung's Croix UI is looking pretty snazzy, a little minimal, with a twist of modern sleek. The device also offers tri-band GSM/EDGE connections (900/1800/1900 MHz), with a small dip into a higher UTMS 2100 MHz frequency. Should be available in Europe in February for close to 530 Euros (~$780).Source...
