Sony Ericsson today announced the launch of Play Now Plus -- an online music service that will go live in Sweden. The service will take on Nokia's Comes With Music strategy and Amazon's Music Store aboard the T-Mobile G1. Sony Ericsson's service, however will be carrier driven and will allow subscribrs to download and play unlimited numer of tracks on their Sony Ericsson handhelds for a monthly subscription. On the Telenor network in Sweden, Sony Ericsson phones will come pre-loaded with 1,000 tracks along with the option to download more directly from the handset over the air.
