Digital Imaging Systems has a 9 megapixel camera module specially developed for mobile devices. The module we’re talking about is the DIS6931, which features insanely fast autofocus (less than 300 milliseconds), a fast click-to-capture time (less than 200 ms), and of course a high-quality lens. 9 megapixel camera phones are whispered to be available around Q1 of 2009, so we shouldn’t have to wait too long to see how things work out.
