Get MicroMonster On Your Mobile Phone! Roar!

Get ready to rumble with MicroMonster -- a real-time multiplayer fantasy combat game, which sees you pitting your assassin, blade warrior, cyborg, psionic or, er, Gorok against the monsters of other players. It works over the mobile network, although you can also play against a friend via Bluetooth.

Win fights, and your monster's skills get boosted, allowing them to get better equipment. There's also an interesting business model - seen most often in online PC games in Korea and China - it's free to download the game and you don't pay a monthly subscription fee but you do pay for weapons, armours and other kit for your monster, from Biting Bit's online shop.

There's a single-player mode, of course, which lets you train your monsters up by working through quests. We're certainly intrigued, and will be investigating MicroMonster further in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can check out the game's website.
