Ever wonder why you can’t control your lawnmower with a cell phone? Yeah I know… not really. But regardless Kyodo America thinks the concept is cool and has introduced the LawnBott 3500, a lawnmower that by using the Bluetooth in your cell phone as a remote control gives the yard a haircut. Charged with lithium-ion batteries, LawnBott is completely gas free and can run 3-4 hours on a single charge. It also features automatic shut down, rain sensors, which by the way you have as a human too they’re called eyes, and a “car alarm” like feature which will start wailing if any neighbors try to snatch it. And trust me, with a price tag of $3,249 the LawnBott 3500 isn’t something you want to buy two of.
Thought to be fair, while the price tag is steep, it only consumes $7-10 of electricity a year, mulches while it cuts, and thanks to the Adaptive Programming Technology is the only robotic mower that doesn’t require a perimeter wire.
