Nokia 6263 further hints at T-Mobile US 3G network launch

The introduction of the Nokia 6263 handset to T-Mobile is an indication that the wireless service provider is closer to rolling out their 3G network for the US. The Nokia 6263 device is the second confirmed device to offer support for T-Mobile's future 1,700MHz UMTS network. The first being the Samsung t639, confirmed by the FCC.

The 6263 appears to be a music-focused device, with track navigation featured on its face and featuring up to 4 GB of extended storage, with a bundled 512MB microSD card. A 2.2-inch internal LCD can display 16 million colors, all topped off with a 1.3 MP camera, and stereo Bluetooth. The device should be available at most online and retail stores today, according to both Nokia and T-Mobile.
T-Mobile's 3G network is expected to launch by early 2008.
