Yesterday Nokia announced Maps on Ovi, a web component which is designed to complement Nokia Maps 2.0. As being part of the Ovi brand, Maps on Ovi will allow users to plan their trips from the comfort of their own desktop, after which a quick sync will have everything on the phone.Users will also be able to record routes and points of interest using their handset while they’re outdoors, and upload them to the Ovi service when they’re back home for sharing with friends and family.
