One of the highlights of the Verizon Wireless sponsored American Idol auditions in San Diego was single parent Perrie Cataldo, who's adorable 4-year-old son got as much screen time as his Boyz 2 Men ballad.
However TMZ has uncovered in 2006, Cataldo was busted in a Glendale, Arizona bar for getting into a fight and carrying a concealed gun. However, as he was up front with American Idol producers about his shady past before his son's mother's death forced him to turn around his life, it's unlikely to be the end of the road for what looks to be a very promising run on this season's American Idol.
