Nokia and patents Apple

One of the most protected by patents Apple iPhone is the display "multi-touch", which acknowledges the pressure of the fingers on several points simultaneously and lets you handle the device using gestures with his fingers. Unwired View has published information on a patent Nokia June 2007 that raffles dramatically patents iPhone, evolving the concept to achieve a genuine use by gestures. Is the multi-tap… untouched.

By using ultrasonic transducers (wow!), It creates an area of about 20 centimetres around the phone with ultrasonic waves. When a finger falls within that area, the waves are reflected in the mobile and are detected by the transducer, calculating the position by triangulation in space. Thanks to this technology, you can control the phone not only with one or two fingers, but the entire hand gestures can be used to perform operations.

Possibly we will not use sign language with our Nokia this year, as the Finnish home draw before the traditional tactile mobile market. The concept seems to me very innovative and I think it is very clear that if the manufacturers who have considered the iPhone as a revolution.
